The Role

Oversee the preparation and submission of regulatory reports to local authorities, including but not limited to the FSA and the Bank of Japan.
Ensure an accurate and timely accounting environment by managing day-to-day accounting data production across regional hubs, covering Accounts Payable, Billing, and Accounting.
Strengthen governance and control frameworks for monthly, quarterly, and annual general ledger closing and reconciliations.
Track and assess local regulatory, business, and industry developments that may impact regulatory and statutory reporting.
Manage and coordinate external and internal audits, regulatory inspections, and inquiries.
Collaborate with the external firm for local tax filings.

Your Skills

10+ years of working experience with extensive knowledge in Accounting, Taxation, Financial Reporting, or Regulatory Reporting
Proficient in English to communicate with the global team
Proficient in Japanese to communicate with the local team and the external stakeholders
Any finance-related qualifications/certifications will be preferred, but not a must
