The Company
Our esteemed client, a top-tier global consulting firm, is on the hunt for a finance whiz to join their team as a Finance Manager, specializing in revenue recognition and financial management. If you are ready to roll up your sleeves and dive into the world of ASC 606, this is the role for you! You will partner with business segments to apply revenue treatments, review client contracts, and help guide crucial revenue recognition decisions. Collaboration is key-expect to work hand-in-hand with cross-functional teams like Order to Cash and Project Managers, tackling engagement setup issues and ensuring everything is validated and running smoothly. If you are passionate about making an impact and bringing your expertise to a dynamic, global setting, we would love to hear from you!
The Role
As the subject matter expert in revenue recognition, you will approve large and complex engagement setups, review non-standard terms, and manage cross-period invoice cancellations and credit memos. You will play a key role in executing revenue models, evaluating accrued and deferred revenues, and conducting thorough period-end close processes, including managing monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reporting. Additionally, you will provide guidance on revenue forecasting, collaborate with Regional FP&A, and support audit requests. You will also serve as the expert for Professional Services Automation systems, working closely with global teams to drive system enhancements and new project rollouts.
Your Profile
We are looking for a finance superstar who holds a CPA (or an equivalent professional accounting qualification) and has 8-10 years of experience under their belt-at least 3 of those years spent in one of the Big 4 accounting firms, followed by finance roles, preferably with US MNCs. If you've got a solid track record in financial reporting and revenue recognition, especially in the professional services industry, we're all ears! You should be well-versed in US GAAP and the Sarbanes-Oxley Act, and know how to manage and motivate teams with ease. Bonus points if you can speak "finance" to senior leaders in a way that is both insightful and clear. We are also looking for someone with sharp analytical skills, a natural curiosity, and the ability to work independently like a pro. Your Excel game needs to be strong (we are talking next-level), and experience with SAP or a similar ERP system is definitely a plus.
