Our Calgary-based client is seeking a Payroll Administrator to manage the full payroll cycle. This role requires proficiency in payroll systems and a keen attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
- Administer the full payroll cycle, from calculations to employee payments and journal creation.
- Prepare payroll worksheets for new hires, terminations, leaves, and adjustments.
- Resolve discrepancies in timesheets and payroll records.
- Assist with timecard entry and labor charge out review.
- Monitor HR Audit Reports and update timecards and schedules as needed.
- Ensure compliance with privacy legislation and respond to payroll inquiries.
- Stay updated on government and union legislation changes.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of payroll experience, with knowledge of payroll system design and capabilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, with a focus on Excel.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills.
- Basic payroll accounting knowledge.
- Available to start immediately.
