    Our client is seeking an experienced Lien Clerk to join their firm in Vaughan, Ontario. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and processing lien files, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations, preparing and serving necessary documents, maintaining accurate records, conducting lien-related research, and liaising with clients and legal professionals.


    Key Responsibilities

    Primary duties include, but are not limited to:

    • Preparing, editing, and formatting legal documents and correspondence related to liens.
    • Collaborating with clients and industry professionals to resolve lien-related issues.
    • Managing complex and large lien files, establishing and maintaining an organized filing system for both paper and electronic records.
    • Assisting in the preparation of notices, affidavits, and other legal documents related to liens.
    • Ensuring compliance with legislative requirements for all lien notices and communications.
    • Monitoring lien deadlines to ensure timely compliance.
    • Performing other duties as assigned.
    • Bachelor's degree and/or completion of a post-secondary Legal Assistant or Law Clerk program.
    • Advanced technical proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Soluno, Teraview, Conveyancer, Worldox, and ACL.
    • Strong understanding of business and legal terminology.
    • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work.
    • Excellent communication skills to effectively liaise with lawyers and clients.
    • Strong time management, organizational, and prioritization skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure, handle multiple tasks, and adapt to changing situations.
    • Demonstrated sound judgment and discretion when dealing with confidential and sensitive matters.
    • High client service orientation with a strong work ethic and the ability to work independently, take initiative, and be resourceful.
    • Flexibility to occasionally work overtime when required.
