They are seeking an experienced and driven Revenue Manager to join their finance team and play a pivotal role in managing and overseeing their revenue processes.
Job Description:
As a Revenue Manager, you will be responsible for managing the revenue recognition processes in compliance with GAAP and ensuring that all complex revenue recognition criteria are met. You will work closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial reporting, provide insight into the company's revenue performance, and drive continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the revenue recognition processes and policies in accordance with US GAAP.
- Ensure accurate and timely application of complex revenue recognition principles and criteria.
- Maintain compliance with complex revenue recognition standards, ensuring proper reporting across all service-related revenue streams.
- Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and other necessary financial documents related to revenue.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment and accuracy in financial forecasting and reporting.
- Develop and implement internal controls to ensure compliance and optimize revenue processes.
- Provide financial analysis and support to senior leadership in assessing revenue performance and strategies.
- Stay updated on changes to US GAAP and industry standards related to revenue recognition.
- Mentor and manage junior team members as needed.
Requirements:
- CPA certification required.
- Strong proficiency with US GAAP and revenue recognition principles.
- Experience with complex revenue recognition criteria, particularly in the service industry.
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in a revenue management or accounting role, preferably in the service sector.
- Proven track record of managing complex financial reporting and analysis.
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to identify potential issues with revenue recognition.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with ERP systems and advanced proficiency in Excel.
- Knowledge of industry-specific revenue models and practices.
