We are offering a contract for a contract to hire employment opportunity for a dedicated Dispatcher in Carrollton, Texas. As a Dispatcher, you will be the pivotal point of contact for technicians and customers within the service department, tasked with managing service tickets, coordinating schedules, and ensuring accurate and timely communications.
Responsibilities:
• Coordinate the service department effectively, demonstrating a high level of organization and attention to detail.
• Act as the first line of communication for technicians and customers, handling inquiries and complaints professionally.
• Ensure timely scheduling of service tickets and inspection tickets.
• Update and maintain customer information diligently within the service management.
• Dispatch technicians based on the specific call or customer requirements.
• Work closely with the Service Manager and Sales team, facilitating cooperation to meet customer needs.
• Respond to emails and return calls promptly, maintaining excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Review daily monitoring reports and engage with customers regarding troubles and non-reporting accounts.
• Schedule necessary training, badging, or safety orientation for technicians prior to inspections or job site work.
• Manage agreements on file and maintain the scheduling dashboard.
• Assist with overflow calls and accept purchase orders from customers for current and upcoming inspections.
• Maintain customer portals to ensure all service requests are scheduled.
• Comply with company safety and OSHA safety policies, reporting any accidents or injuries to the manager immediately.
• Proven experience in a dispatcher role or similar position.
• Proficiency in performing receptionist duties, including managing calls and customer service.
• Exceptional ability to multitask and prioritize tasks.
• Strong knowledge of procedures and guidelines for emergency situations.
• Demonstrated ability to remain calm and composed in stressful situations.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficiency in using computer software, including Microsoft Office Suite and dispatching software.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think quickly under pressure.
• High level of organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-stress environment.
• Must be able to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Knowledge of geographical areas and landmarks is advantageous.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required; a degree in a relevant field is a plus.
