We are seeking a Systems Engineer to join our professional services team located in Arlington, Virginia, 22201, United States. In this role, you will be involved in a variety of tasks including independent projects to enhance or rectify issues within our IT infrastructure, daily management of servers and networks, and collaboration with the IT Help Desk to ensure superior customer service.
Responsibilities:
• Execute independent projects to augment functionality or resolve problems within the IT infrastructure
• Participate in the daily management, monitoring, and maintenance of servers, networks, and other infrastructure technology
• Collaborate with the IT Help Desk and its team members to ensure the highest degree of customer service
• Regularly report to IT Management on network performance, incident trends, projects, problems, and activities
• Act as the Problem Owner for IT system faults, including issue identification, coordination of staff, and vendors to assist in problem resolution
• Create departmental and team procedures, installation documentation, and work instructions as needed
• Perform monthly patching of Windows servers and laptops
• Assist other technicians and IT team members with installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting problems
• Monitor and report on daily system backups
• Assist in managing the user environment, actively monitoring corporate servers and applications
• Work as needed on IT projects to ensure customer needs are met in a courteous and professional manner.

• Proficiency in Cisco, Citrix, Cloud, DELL EMC, and Dell Technologies
• Familiarity with Automation and AWS Technologies
• Experience with Backup Technologies, VPN Technologies, Network Switches and Firewalls
• Ability to work with MS Windows, Intune, and Google Workspace
• Knowledge of Juniper and Fortinet Firewalls
• Proficiency in VMware, Veeam, Veeam Backup, BitLocker, and CrowdStrike
• Experience with Apple Macintosh, Mac Computers, and Linux
• Familiarity with Remedy, Servicenow Application, JIRA, and SolarWinds
• Ability to perform AB Testing and manage Active Directory
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Relevant degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field
• Professional certifications in Cisco, Citrix, Cloud, DELL EMC, Dell Technologies, or related fields would be an advantage
• Proven experience as a Systems Engineer or similar role in the Professional Services industry
• Ability to work in a team and collaborate effectively with other professionals
• Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills
• Strong understanding of system engineering concepts
• Knowledge of system security and data backup/recovery.
• Ability to create scripts in Python, Perl, or other language.
