Ecommerce Director – Digital Marketing & Platform Launch Expert
Location: Farmers Branch, TX - Fully On-site
Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Ecommerce Director with a strong digital marketing background and a proven track record of building and launching ecommerce platforms from the ground up for B2C companies. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker, capable of driving digital growth and delivering exceptional customer experiences while overseeing all aspects of ecommerce operations. This role demands hands-on expertise in digital marketing, platform development, and ecommerce metrics, as well as a collaborative leadership style to work with cross-functional teams effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
Ecommerce Platform Strategy & Development:
- Lead the end-to-end development and launch of a new ecommerce platform, collaborating with internal teams and external vendors.
- Develop a scalable and customer-centric ecommerce strategy tailored for a B2C market.
- Oversee platform selection and implementation, ensuring seamless integration with other business systems.
Digital Marketing Strategy & Execution:
- Own the creation and implementation of digital marketing campaigns to drive traffic, conversion, and revenue.
- Leverage expertise in SEO/SEM, social media marketing, email marketing, and paid advertising to optimize omnichannel performance.
- Utilize data analytics tools to measure ROI, customer behavior, and campaign outcomes to inform strategies.
Customer Experience Optimization:
- Ensure a best-in-class user experience, focusing on UX/UI, site navigation, mobile responsiveness, and speed optimization.
- Oversee A/B testing and personalization initiatives to enhance customer journeys and engagement.
Operations & Team Leadership:
- Manage ecommerce P& L, budget forecasting, and performance KPIs.
- Build and mentor a high-performing ecommerce team, including marketing, development, and operations roles.
- Collaborate with departments such as merchandising, sales, and logistics to deliver a cohesive experience across all channels.
Performance & Continuous Improvement:
- Stay updated on ecommerce trends, emerging technologies, and industry best practices.
- Implement AI tools and automation to streamline operations and optimize performance.
- Identify opportunities for growth in new markets, partnerships, and revenue streams.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- 7+ years of experience in ecommerce and digital marketing roles, ideally within the B2C space.
- Proven expertise in launching an ecommerce platform from concept to completion.
- Strong proficiency with ecommerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, Magento, BigCommerce) and digital marketing tools (e.g., Google Analytics, SEMrush, HubSpot).
- In-depth knowledge of ecommerce metrics, site optimization, and customer acquisition strategies.
- Exceptional analytical and leadership skills with the ability to drive both strategy and execution.
- Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, negotiate with vendors, and lead cross-functional teams.
