We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Litigation Paralegal to join one of our client law firms located in Plano, Texas. In this role, you will be involved in various legal practices, such as drafting correspondence and other legal documents, maintaining case files, managing deadlines, and assisting your team in preparing for trial.
Responsibilities
• Drafting standard correspondence to ensure clear communication within and outside the team.
• Preparation of basic pleadings, discovery requests, and responses, and memoranda to facilitate smooth legal proceedings.
• Proofreading documents regularly and accurately to maintain the high accuracy and completeness of all legal documents.
• Managing deadlines through careful calculation and calendaring according to the applicable rules to ensure timely completion of tasks.
• Coordination and calendaring of hearings, depositions, mediations, and other legal proceedings to ensure smooth workflow.
• E-filing of documents in state and federal courts to maintain a record of all legal actions.
• Organizing and maintaining case files in an orderly manner, adhering to standard naming and profiling conventions for easy retrieval and reference.
• Assisting in document productions, which includes Bates labeling, redaction, and indexing to ensure all documents are properly marked and organized.
• Being proficient with Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, and Adobe Pro

• Applicant must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a litigation paralegal role; with at least 3 years' experience in Texas state courts

· Prepare “shell” pleadings, discovery requests/responses, and memoranda.
· Regularly and accurately proofread all documents to ensure accuracy and completeness.
· Calculate and calendar deadlines according to applicable rules.
· Coordinate and calendar hearings, depositions, mediations, etc.
· E-file documents in state and federal courts.
· Organize and maintain case files in an orderly manner, following standard naming and profiling conventions.
· Assist in document productions, including Bates labeling, redaction, and indexing.
· Participate in the timely review and submission of prebills and client bills, including entering time.
