Tyler Houk (Practice Director) with Robert Half is seeking a Sr. Accountant to join our Financial Services team located in Fresno, California. This role will primarily involve performing complex financial analysis, creating business reporting, and managing internal control documentation. The Sr. Accountant will also be involved in preparing financial related reports and communications, completing financial model validations, and working on special projects related to the Fiscal Department.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare recurring reports and presentations for various strategic committees of the Association
• Assist in the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial statements
• Draft financial statements with footnotes and assist in writing Annual Reports
• Analyze financial data and trends to provide insights for decision-making
• Optimize processes and streamline procedures for increased internal control efficiency
• Maintain flowcharts identifying key processes and related controls
• Assist with assessment and validation of financial models
• Use testing methods to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements
• Communicate validation results and recommendations to key stakeholders
• Create standard monthly budget reports and develop financial models to support strategic initiatives
• Support Senior Management Team and Department heads with in-depth analysis.

• Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role within the Financial Services industry
• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations
• Experience with General Ledger maintenance and Journal Entries
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Demonstrated experience in managing Month End Close processes
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
• CPA or equivalent qualification is preferred
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity
• Ability to handle confidential information in a professional manner
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with ability to prioritize tasks effectively
