We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a Financial Data Analyst in the Insurance industry, based in Grand Rapids, Michigan. As a Financial Data Analyst, you will be tasked with a variety of responsibilities that include the analysis of financial data, data entry, and effective communication with team members and stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
• Conduct detailed financial analysis using Excel, leveraging skills in VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables.
• Engage in data manipulation processes to ensure accuracy and consistency of financial data.
• Take on data entry tasks, including the import of commission agreements into the system.
• Actively participate in ongoing projects, demonstrating strong organization and project planning skills.
• Work in collaboration with team members, sharing responsibilities and meeting overlapping deadlines.
• Communicate effectively through various channels such as email and meetings.
• Handle changes, conversions, and clean-ups in the financial data as needed.
• Ensure critical thinking and attention to detail in all tasks.
• Assist in explaining payment processes to those being paid, ensuring transparency and understanding.
• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action as necessary.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field.
• Proven work experience as a Financial Data Analyst or a similar role in the Insurance industry.
• Proficiency in VLOOKUP and Pivot Table functions in Excel.
• Solid knowledge of financial analysis principles and methodologies.
• Excellent analytical skills with an attention to detail.
• Strong proficiency in data analysis software and database management.
• Ability to interpret and analyze financial data and present findings clearly.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• High level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information.
