    We are seeking an experienced Sr. Accountant to join our team located in Goldsboro, North Carolina. In the role of Sr. Accountant, you will be responsible for managing financial operations, working in collaboration with the production and operations teams, and enhancing efficiency in our manufacturing processes.     Responsibilities:

    • Manage the creation and analysis of financial statements in accordance with GAAP standards.

    • Collaborate with production and operations departments to examine and evaluate manufacturing costs.

    • Develop and maintain accurate cost accounting systems to assist in pricing, budgeting, and profitability assessment.

    • Generate regular financial reports and variance analysis, identifying trends and areas for process improvement.

    • Participate in the annual budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring alignment with strategic planning objectives.

    • Oversee fixed asset records, ensuring accurate depreciation and alignment with company policies.

    • Participate in audits, ensuring timely responses and compliance with regulatory requirements.

    • Use ERP systems to streamline accounting workflows and improve reporting accuracy.

    • Guide entry level team members, fostering a culture of learning and growth.

    • Perform account and balance sheet reconciliations, general ledger maintenance, journal entries, and month-end close procedures.

    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in an accounting role in the manufacturing industry.

    • Proficiency in account reconciliation and balance sheet reconciliation

    • Solid understanding and experience with general ledger functions

    • Ability to prepare and record journal entries accurately

    • Experience with month end close processes and procedures

    • Familiarity with conducting annual standard cost reviews and updates

    • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required
