Dual Database Administrator<p>We are seeking a Dual (SQL and Oracle) Database Administrator to join our team in Houston, Texas. The role involves ensuring the availability, security, support, and integrity of our database platforms, with a focus on SQL and Oracle databases. The Database Administrator will provide support to our operating units and utilize various management tools.</p><p><br></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p>• Ensure the successful completion of off-site sync and database scheduled jobs</p><p>• Address blocking, deadlocking, log shipping, connectivity, and security issues as they arise</p><p>• Utilize Enterprise Manager (13c) or queries to monitor database health and performance, making recommendations as necessary</p><p>• Install, configure, monitor, and troubleshoot Microsoft SQL Server systems in non-clustered and clustered configurations</p><p>• Regularly update on assigned tickets and maintain open lines of communication both within and outside the team</p><p>• Participate in on-call rotation as required</p><p>• Maintain comprehensive database documentation and uphold standards</p><p>• Undertake project work as directed by the Database Systems Manager</p><p>• Perform daily tasks, such as verifying daily backups and resolving related issues, reviewing database alert log errors, and managing space usage</p><p>• Maintain the integrity of Oracle and SQL databases, including database server design, architecture, implementation, database tuning, reporting services, and security.</p>
