A company in North Houston is seeking a Document Controller for a long term contract, possible contract to hire opportunity. This will be an in-office role working Monday-Friday. Job Summary:
The Document Controller is responsible for managing and overseeing the company's documents to ensure accurate maintenance and accessibility. This role involves handling the intake, processing, and storage of documentation, ensuring compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Document Management: Oversee the intake, processing, and archiving of company documents, ensuring they are organized and accessible.
- Compliance and Standards: Ensure all documentation complies with company policies and industry regulations.
- Coordination: Collaborate with various departments to gather and disseminate information, ensuring document accuracy and completeness.
- Quality Control: Review and verify documents for consistency and accuracy.
- System Maintenance: Maintain document management systems, ensuring they are up-to-date and functioning correctly.
- Training: Provide guidance and training to staff on document control processes and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Management, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in document control or a related area.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in document management software and MS Office Suite.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in an engineering or manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with industry-specific document control standards and practices.
