    We are in the automotive industry, specifically located in Torrance, CA 90501. We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a Quality Analyst II. This role will primarily involve verifying and maintaining the quality performance and function of our Digital Sales platform. The successful candidate will work closely with various teams, including developers, creative designers, and product managers, to develop and implement an array of manual and automated test scripts.


    Responsibilities:

    • Evaluate the functionality of the core digital retailing platform and its integrations

    • Contribute to the Life Cycle process through effective Test Management methodology and best practices

    • Develop and maintain test artifacts, including test strategy, test plans, test cases, and automated scripts

    • Oversee and assist application testing team members in the creation and implementation of test cases, scripts, and procedures

    • Develop, socialize, and present test approaches, test artifacts, testing processes, and test metrics across teams

    • Support the consistent use of industry-standard quality best practices and testing methodologies

    • Compile and share testing results and metrics to inform business decisions and encourage continuous improvement

    • Participate in test case reviews, user stories, risk assessments, requirement reviews, sprint reviews, backlog grooming sessions, and retrospectives

    • Prepare test data and ensure readiness of the test environment prior to test execution

    • Consolidate and report QA deliverables such as defects identified, test execution results, and test coverage to the management team

    • Coordinate with performance and automation testing team members to identify testing scenarios to be created for target applications

    • Define and track quality assurance metrics such as defects, defect counts, test results, and test status

    • Collect and analyze data for software process evaluation and improvements, integrating them into business processes to address needs

    • Document all issues and assist in their resolution

    • Conduct quality process training for technical staff and act as an internal quality consultant to advise or influence business or technical partners

    • Carry out quality audits across various IT functions to ensure adherence to quality standards, procedures, and methodologies.

    Required Skills and Experience:

    Experience & Background:

    • 5+ years of experience as a Quality Assurance professional in a digital product environment.
    • 3–5 years of experience with system development testing or related business experience.
    • Proven ability to test enterprise web/cloud platforms with complex data transactions and integrations.

    QA Expertise:

    • Strong knowledge of QA practices, methodologies, and policies.
    • Expertise in creating and maintaining QA documentation, including test plans, test strategies, and test scripts.
    • Hands-on experience with both manual and automated testing tools, including Perfecto, Selenium, Appium, Postman, SoapUI, BrowserStack, and Android Studio.

    Technical Skills:

    • Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall methodologies, with the ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment.
    • Experience in mobile frontend, website backend, and API testing.
    • Proficiency with tools such as Jira and Zephyr to manage defects, create dashboards, and generate reports.
    • Ability to execute SQL queries to pull and manage data.
    • Hands-on experience defining and executing test automation strategies using industry-standard tools.

    Soft Skills:

    • Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills.
    • Ability to multitask and perform testing across multiple simultaneous projects.
    • Strong problem-solving and communication skills; ability to document problems clearly for developers.
    • Demonstrated ability to work independently with a high degree of initiative and adaptability.

    Preferred Qualifications:


    Industry Knowledge:

    • Experience within the automotive industry, specifically understanding the OEM-dealer ecosystem.
    • Familiarity with the automotive captive finance landscape.

    Certifications and Education:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Equivalent work experience may be considered.

    Advanced Skills:

    • Advanced technical and programming knowledge related to automated testing tools.
    • Release/build engineering expertise.
    • Strong technical writing and reporting skills.
