    A reputable and client-focused law firm located in Lake Forest, Illinois, is seeking a motivated and compassionate Family Law Attorney to join its dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 year of family law experience and a passion for providing effective legal solutions to clients during emotionally sensitive situations.


    Key Responsibilities:

    • Represent clients in various family law matters, including but not limited to divorce, child custody, visitation, child/spousal support, property division, prenuptial/postnuptial agreements, and domestic violence cases.
    • Prepare and draft legal documents such as motions, pleadings, discovery requests, and legal agreements.
    • Handle all aspects of litigation, including court appearances, mediations, and settlement negotiations.
    • Provide clear, consistent, and timely communication to clients while building trust and managing their expectations.
    • Offer strategic advice and knowledgeable counsel regarding Illinois family law statutes and legal procedures.
    • Stay up-to-date on changes and developments in Illinois family law and attend ongoing legal education opportunities.


    Qualifications:

    • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
    • Active license to practice law in Illinois and in good standing with the Illinois Bar Association.
    • Minimum of 1 year of family law experience (handling cases, client consultations, courtroom work, or related tasks).
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for drafting, negotiations, and interacting with clients.
    • Strong organizational and time-management skills to manage multiple cases under deadlines effectively.
    • Demonstrated ability to offer client-centered, empathetic legal services during highly sensitive matters.
    • Experience in litigation and/or family law mediation is preferred.
