About the Role:
A client of ours is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Azure DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic technology team. As an Azure DevOps Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and managing our cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines on Microsoft Azure. You will collaborate closely with development, operations, and security teams to streamline our software delivery process, enhance system reliability, and ensure the scalability and security of our applications. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on our engineering practices and contribute to the success of our innovative products and services.
Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain robust and scalable CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps (Azure Pipelines).
- Manage and administer Azure DevOps organizations, projects, repositories (Azure Repos), build and release pipelines, and test plans.
- Configure and manage Azure cloud infrastructure components, including virtual machines, networking, storage, and databases, using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as ARM templates, Bicep, or Terraform.
- Implement and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions using Azure Monitor, Azure Log Analytics, and other relevant tools.
- Collaborate with development teams to integrate and automate testing (unit, integration, end-to-end) into the CI/CD pipelines.
- Work closely with security teams to implement and enforce security best practices throughout the development and deployment lifecycle (DevSecOps).
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to build, deployment, and infrastructure.
- Automate repetitive tasks and processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual errors.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of technical documentation and standard operating procedures.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest Azure services, DevOps tools, and industry best practices.
- Participate in on-call rotation as needed to support critical systems.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role, with a strong focus on Microsoft Azure.
- Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, including Azure Pipelines, Azure Repos, Azure Boards, and Azure Artifacts.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as ARM templates, Bicep, or Terraform.
- Strong understanding of CI/CD principles and best practices.
- Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes (AKS preferred).
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools in Azure (Azure Monitor, Log Analytics).
- Knowledge of security best practices in cloud environments (DevSecOps).
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Azure certifications (e.g., Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, Azure Administrator Associate).
- Experience with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Chef, Puppet).
- Experience with database administration and management in Azure (e.g., Azure SQL Database, Azure Cosmos DB).
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies.
- Experience with testing automation frameworks.
