We are in the process of recruiting a User Experience (UX) Designer to join our team in the higher education industry, based in NEW YORK, New York. This role offers a long term contract employment opportunity and will focus on the development and documentation of a structured design system. The UX Designer will ensure the consistency of our platform's visual language and support the broader UX/UI needs of our website redesign.
Responsibilities:
• Creation of new web pages while maintaining the brand's integrity, utilizing the established design system.
• Collaboration with the development team to communicate design standards and ensure their correct implementation.
• Assisting in the wireframing process and sourcing images to enhance website content.
• Identification and proposal of improvements to any gaps in the current design system.
• Translation of existing pages into a new style, updating modules to align with the refreshed visual language.
• Development and documentation of a scalable design system that ensures consistency in typography, color styles, components, and modules.
• Organization and optimization of existing design assets for efficient use in Figma and during the development handoff.
• Management of design elements between files while maintaining all styles and formatting.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, including Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe XD, is a must.
• Experience in Android Development is required to ensure seamless UX design for Android users.
• Proficiency in conducting A/B testing is essential to improve user experience based on data-driven decisions.
• Familiarity with Agile Scrum methodology is required to work effectively in our collaborative environment.
• Ability to contribute to brand awareness through thoughtful UX design.
• Strong skills in CSS are required for effective interface design.
• Experience in the digital field, particularly in designing digital interfaces and experiences.
• Proficiency in using Figma for UX design and prototyping.
