We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a Data Engineer in the Education - University industry, located in YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio. As a Data Engineer, you'll be tasked with managing large data sets, developing strategies for data snapshots, and facilitating data connectivity.

Responsibilities:

• Utilizing Power BI knowledge to create data models from various sources.
• Advising on Power BI performance impact related to table types.
• Implementing Ellucian Data Connect for legacy data integration, eliminating the need for CSV conversion.
• Evaluating the feasibility of using SQL DB with Power BI for report generation.
• Developing and implementing a data management strategy, particularly for 14th-day snapshots.
• Ensuring data integrity and cleanliness post-snapshot.
• Leveraging cloud technologies for efficient data management.
• Utilizing data visualization techniques for improved data interpretation.
• Developing APIs for seamless data exchange.
• Implementing AWS technologies for enhanced data warehousing.

• Strong knowledge and experience in Cloud Technologies is required.
• Proficiency in Data Visualization techniques and tools is essential.
• Must have a solid background in Analytics.
• Experience in API Development is necessary.
• Proficiency in AWS Technologies is a must.
• Experience in using Microsoft Power BI for data visualization and reporting is required.
• Familiarity with Dax Technologies is highly valued.
• Mastery of Microsoft SQL is a necessity.
• Experience in Data Warehousing is crucial.
