    We are looking for a meticulous Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team. As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will be entrusted with the important task of managing vendor relationships, ensuring efficient invoice processing, and maintaining accurate records within the general ledger. This role is based in Durham, North Carolina, 27705, United States and offers a contract to permanent employment opportunity.

    Responsibilities:
    • Manage relationships with vendors to ensure smooth operations.
    • Process invoices in a timely and accurate manner.
    • Keep the general ledger updated with precise and current information.
    • Perform account reconciliations regularly to ensure accuracy.
    • Handle data entry tasks related to accounts payable.
    • Conduct check runs in accordance with the company's policies and procedures.
    • Code invoices correctly to maintain financial transparency.
    • Use Microsoft Excel for various financial tasks.
    • Work with Abila MIP for various accounts payable tasks.
    • Ensure the month-end close process is completed accurately and on time.
    • Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Accounts Payable Specialist or similar role
    • Proficiency in Account Reconciliation and Accounts Payable (AP)
    • Demonstrated expertise in Check Runs and Coding Invoices
    • Strong data entry skills
    • Proven experience in Invoice Processing
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
    • Experience with Abila MIP software is a plus
    • Familiarity with Month End Close procedures
