Robert Half Contract Finance and Accounting division is seeking a skilled Financial Analyst for a temporary/contract opportunity to support a client in the hospitality or gaming industries. The ideal candidate will have expertise in financial planning and analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis, with industry-specific experience viewed as a strong plus. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented individual to contribute their analytical capabilities in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement across revenue streams and expense categories
- Develop and maintain accurate financial models to support decision-making processes
- Prepare detailed reports, dashboards, and presentations summarizing financial and operational insights for stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including operations, marketing, and accounting to align financial strategies with organizational goals
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring accuracy and adherence to timelines.
- Support compliance efforts by monitoring financial transactions and adhering to relevant policies and regulations.
- Evaluate the financial performance of hospitality and/or gaming-related projects or initiatives, providing critical insights and recommendations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience as a Financial Analyst or in a related role.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros) and financial modeling software (Source: RH Acronym Guide.docx).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
- Familiarity with the hospitality or gaming industries is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present findings clearly to diverse audiences.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Previous experience in hospitality, gaming, or related sectors, including a comprehensive understanding of sector-specific metrics and reporting requirements.
- Exposure to budgeting and forecasting for seasonal or event-driven variations common in these industries.
- Experience with ERP systems such as Oracle, SAP, or Workday and industry-specific software platforms.
