We are in search of an Estimating Assistant to join our organization located in Paramus, NJ. The role is crucial to our business as it involves entering detailed pricing for the development of bid quotations. Your main task is to support project managers with takeoffs and pricing changes. This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity in the construction industry.
Responsibilities:
• Accurately and efficiently enter pricing details for bid quotations.
• Assist with the preparation of scope letters and proposals.
• Handle occasional incoming phone calls.
• Manage and update project folders, spreadsheets, and trackers.
• Ensure all documents are saved centrally within the confidential estimating folder(s) in the company's drive.
• Adhere to all established company operating policies, procedures, and safety programs.
• Support project managers with takeoffs and pricing changes.
• Execute additional assignments as required by the company.
• Use Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel, for various tasks.
• Engage in email correspondence and project documentation.
• Proficiency in Data Entry is required, with a focus on accuracy and speed.
• Must have excellent Email Correspondence skills, with an ability to respond promptly and professionally.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required, with the ability to create and manipulate spreadsheets.
• Must be skilled in Microsoft Outlook, with the ability to manage and organize emails, calendars, and contacts.
• Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint is necessary, with the ability to create, edit, and present slide presentations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word is required, with the ability to create and edit documents.
• Experience with Project Documentation is necessary, with the ability to maintain, organize, and manage project-related documents.
