    A valued client of Robert Half is seeking a motivated and experienced Payroll Specialist to join their team. The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for handling all aspects of the payroll process, ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time while adhering to federal, state, and local regulations. Your expertise will contribute to the smooth operation of payroll activities and compliance with company policies.


    Key Responsibilities:

    • Process weekly, biweekly, or monthly payroll for employees, including calculations and tax deductions.
    • Handle timecard and timesheet reviews and ensure accurate data entry into payroll systems.
    • Maintain payroll records, including salary changes, tax forms, and benefits enrollments, in compliance with state and federal laws.
    • Resolve payroll discrepancies and respond to employee inquiries quickly and professionally.
    • Ensure tax, garnishment, and deduction compliance, adhering to IRS and state requirements.
    • Perform payroll audits and reconcile wage payments for accuracy.
    • Collaborate with HR and accounting teams to ensure seamless payroll workflow.
    • Stay updated on payroll laws and regulations to ensure compliance.


    • 2+ years of payroll processing experience in a corporate environment.
    • Proficiency with payroll systems such as ADP, Paycom, Workday, or similar software. Advanced MS Excel skills are a plus.
    • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration preferred. Equivalent work experience will be considered.
    • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
    • Familiarity with payroll legislation and willingness to stay current on regulatory updates.
