Sr. Systems Engineer<p>Position Overview: Responsible for provisioning, installation, configuration, operation and maintenance of enterprise-class systems, software, and any related enterprise infrastructure. Tasks completed autonomously with little or no supervision. Runs projects and participates in design. Provides peer direction and mentoring to less experienced employees and provides end user support services to the desktop function, c-suite support as needed and participate in HRs onboarding and off boarding process as required. Performs as Subject Matter Expert in a minimum of one IT focused specialty.</p><p><br></p><p>Responsibilities: Functions will include, but not limited to:</p><p>• Support on-premise and cloud-based global compute/storage infrastructure. Assist in design on-premise and cloud solutions for IT & Product/Engineering Infrastructure.</p><p>• Lead projects, implement new solutions and technology autonomously while providing documentation.</p><p>• Remotely manage Windows & Linux servers, improve systems automation & patch management using SCCM and like toolsets. Monitoring, and troubleshooting. Access control & OS/application diagnostics.</p><p>• Support and manage Azure and AWS environments. Virtual Machine & Network design/provisioning, patch management, application hardening etc. Global Subscription & Billing management & reporting.</p><p>• Support and manage Cloudflare environment. Including all global domains & DNS management, documentation, standardization & consolidation behind Cloudflare Proxy & WAF.</p><p>• Support and manage Mimecast email security environment. Advanced Policy configuration & message trace diagnostics.</p><p>• Support and manage on-prem & Azure-based Hybrid Active Directory, Domain Controllers, Exchange Hybrid Server, & Exchange Online mailboxes & configurations. System design, implementation and support.</p><p>• Support and manage Microsoft 365/Azure AD/Entra ID tenant settings, policies, including Microsoft Security & Purview Compliance Portal.</p><p>• Assist with Atlassian Application Administration & Configurations inc. JIRA, JSM, Confluence, BitBucket, Fisheye/Crucible.</p><p>• Second level end-user support services (laptops, printers, application issues, etc). </p><p>• Server and application monitoring (PRTG/Zabbix or similar toolsets).</p>Systems Engineer IIIWe are in need of a Systems Engineer III to become an integral part of our IT infrastructure team. Located in Irvine, California, your role will involve the design, implementation, and management of enterprise-level systems. You will also be responsible for leading complex projects, offering technical expertise, and ensuring our IT infrastructure is prepared to support the operational requirements and expansion of the business.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Assume responsibility for the design, implementation, and maintenance of Windows and Linux-based server infrastructure across various locations, including retail outlets, corporate data centers, and branch offices.<br>• Design and maintain the corporate Active Directory infrastructure, with tasks such as managing intricate Group Policy Objects, supervising multi-site replication, and conducting security hardening.<br>• Oversee the transition of services to Microsoft 365, including Exchange, Azure AD, and other cloud-based solutions. Ensure these new systems integrate smoothly with existing on-premises ones.<br>• Supervise the disaster recovery and business continuity plans for both the primary and backup data centers to minimize downtime during emergencies.<br>• Provide Tier 3 support, resolving escalated issues from other engineers and IT teams for complex system issues.<br>• Work with IT leadership to formulate strategic plans for infrastructure enhancements, capacity planning, and the adoption of new technologies.<br>• Investigate, evaluate, and recommend new technology to enhance system performance, security, and reliability.<br>• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation related to systems architecture, processes, and disaster recovery plans.<br>• Guide entry level and detail-oriented engineers, offering technical advice and fostering their growth.
