Robert Half is assisting a forward-thinking organization in their search for a detail-oriented Auditor to ensure the integrity and accuracy of their financial records and processes. The Auditor will be responsible for conducting internal and external audits across financial operations, analyzing data, and providing recommendations to improve processes and ensure compliance. This role is crucial to maintaining the credibility and reliability of the organization’s financial information.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform internal audits to evaluate the accuracy of financial records, processes, and controls.
- Analyze and test operational processes and accounting systems to identify risks and inefficiencies.
- Prepare documentation and reports detailing audit findings, recommendations, and corrective actions.
- Review compliance with federal, state, and local regulations as well as company policies and procedures.
- Assist in external audits by providing documentation and acting as a liaison with external auditors.
- Support the implementation of recommendations to strengthen the company’s financial processes.
- Stay current on evolving regulations to ensure compliance in all applicable areas.
- Collaborate with other departments to improve operational efficiency and address audit-related concerns.
- 1–3 years of auditing experience, preferably in public accounting or corporate auditing roles.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA, CIA, or related certification is a strong plus.
- Proficiency with accounting software and audit tools. Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and formulas, are preferred. Experience with ERP systems, such as SAP or Oracle, is beneficial.
- Strong attention to detail, excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, and effective communication skills.
- Solid understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and audit processes.
