Highly regarded boutique law firm specializing in business litigation and transactional law, is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to join their growing team. The ideal Litigation Paralegal candidate will have 2+ years of experience in business litigation, with a solid understanding of litigation and desire to learn transactional law. This is an excellent opportunity to work with an experienced team of attorneys in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, where you will assist in a variety of cases for a diverse clientele.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive litigation support for business litigation cases, including case management, discovery, and trial preparation.
- Draft and prepare legal documents, including complaints, answers, motions, discovery requests, subpoenas, and settlement agreements.
- Assist in all phases of the litigation process, including pre-trial discovery, depositions, and trial preparation.
- Manage case files and ensure proper documentation, including organizing exhibits, preparing binders, and maintaining the docket.
- Assist attorneys with research and drafting of motions, pleadings, and legal memoranda for business disputes.
- Coordinate discovery responses, including the preparation of interrogatories, requests for production, and review of responses.
- Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel, maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.
- Assist with transactional matters, including document preparation, corporate filings, and due diligence for business transactions.
- Prepare and organize deposition summaries, witness statements, and expert reports.
- Maintain deadlines and schedules, ensuring that critical dates (e.g., filing deadlines, court hearings) are met.
- Provide administrative support as needed, including managing calendars, coordinating meetings, and assisting in client communication.

Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience as a litigation paralegal, with a focus on business litigation and some exposure to transactional law.
- Proficiency in legal research tools such as Westlaw, LexisNexis, and case management software.
- Strong knowledge of California state and federal court rules and procedures.
- Familiarity with eDiscovery processes and platforms.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Paralegal certificate from an accredited institution (e.g., NALA, NFPA, or equivalent) is required.
- Experience with business transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, and corporate governance, is a plus.
