We’re offering an exciting opportunity for an experienced Logistics Manager to join a dynamic manufacturing environment in Greer, SC. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing supply chain operations, warehouse management, and logistics strategies to support operational excellence and business objectives.
Position Overview:
Reporting directly to the Division Manager, the Logistics Manager is responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating department operations in alignment with the annual business plan. This role provides leadership to the Assistant Manager, ensures execution of key initiatives, and implements corrective actions to improve team performance and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute strategies for inbound and outbound logistics, focusing on efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and quality.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within supply chain and warehouse operations while maintaining high service standards.
- Establish, implement, and maintain logistics policies and procedures in compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Transportation, Inventory, Maintenance, Quality, Supply Chain, Warehouse Operations, and Customer Service to ensure seamless processes.
- Oversee corrective actions and performance management activities for team members within the department.
- Participate in hiring, interviewing, and evaluating potential team members to build a strong operational team.
- Promote and uphold a safety-first workplace culture.
- Lead preparation and presentation of departmental business plans and performance results.
- Manage workforce planning, space utilization, and equipment requirements to maximize operational efficiency.
- Support 6S and Continuous Operational Process (COP) initiatives alongside Production and Support Assistant Managers; participate in audits and implement necessary improvements.
- Foster a team-oriented culture focused on communication, accountability, and adherence to company standards, including ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.
- Ensure a detail-focused and service-driven environment for both internal and external customers.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations, or a related field is preferred but not required.
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in logistics, transportation, warehousing, or supply chain management.
- Strong understanding of logistics operations, including inventory control, warehousing, transportation, and related administrative systems.
- Proficient in both written and verbal communication.
- Ability to evaluate cost-benefit outcomes and make informed, strategic decisions.
- Capable of managing multiple priorities, effectively managing time, and fostering collaboration and trust among team members.
- Hands-on experience with strategic sourcing, contract and vendor management, procurement processes, materials planning, and supplier relationship management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a sound understanding of financial metrics and performance indicators.
- Effective leadership and organizational skills with the ability to set clear goals, motivate teams, and manage conflict resolution.
- Proficiency in project management, including planning, decision-making, and executing strategic initiatives.
- Comfortable using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and other logistics-related software platforms.
- SAP experience is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to support diverse teams and influence cross-functional stakeholders.
- Bilingual proficiency is a plus.
