We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a Grants Writer in WASHINGTON, District of Columbia. The primary role will be to manage projects related to proposals and reports within the foundation portfolio. This position will involve a range of responsibilities including proposal coordination, report submission, and research for prospective funders.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee and manage proposals from senior leadership, development, and program teams.
• Formulate clear, articulate grant proposals, concept papers, and other program materials, aligning development prospects to organizational needs and priorities.
• Support the Managing Director of Development in maintaining existing foundation relationships with program officers, executives, and other individuals.
• Collaborate with the finance team to build and review program budgets, determining strategies for project-specific or restricted funding support.
• Coordinate the submission of foundation narrative and financial reports.
• Research and identify new foundation relationships in support of the organization's mission and goals.
• Innovate ways to introduce current funders to new programs and projects.
• Collaborate closely with various project teams, communications and organization staff to accurately refine and represent the programmatic elements and priorities in grant proposals.
• Cultivate effective relationships with current foundation donors, especially through outreach and scheduling appointments for Senior Leadership and Development.
• Generate analysis and reports to track foundation giving progress towards fundraising goals.
• Plan and execute stakeholder meetings to promote long-term foundation support and engagement.
• Prepare foundation contribution status reports for board and organization’s leadership.
• Proficiency in 3M
• Mastery of Adobe Acrobat
• Experience with Cisco Webex Meetings
• Familiarity with CRM systems
• Knowledge of Data Mining Techniques
• Proficiency in About Time software
• Understanding of Budget Processes
• Background in Business Development
• Excellent Communication skills
• Strong Compliance management
• Ability to Develop Proposals
