We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Human Resources (HR) Manager in the Non-Profit industry, based in Alexandria, Virginia. As the HR Manager, you will be in charge of a wide array of tasks, including the supervision of HR Generalists and Recruiters, new employee orientations, benefits administration, and maintaining employee relations.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee HR Generalists and Recruiters to ensure smooth HR operations
• Conduct orientations for new permanent staff to familiarize them with the organization's culture and processes
• Prepare benefits packages and oversee the enrollment process
• Handle employee relations matters, serving as the primary point of contact for all staff
• Administer the annual performance management program, facilitating open communication between supervisors and employees
• Ensure compliance with State and Federal Laws and maintain the employee policies/procedures manual
• Manage the process of employee disciplinary actions, providing coaching and counsel as necessary
• Prepare new permanent staff offer letters and other employment documents
• Conduct exit interviews and maintain proper documentation in employee files
• Play a key role in ensuring compliance and assisting with proposal bidding processes
• Use your skills in ADP Workforce Now, Benefit Functions, Compensation Administration, Compliance, Employee Relations, Labor Employee Relations, Recruiting, and Onboarding to effectively perform your duties.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Human Resources role, preferably within the non-profit sector
• Proficiency in using ADP Workforce Now software for HR functions
• Extensive knowledge and experience in managing benefit functions
• Demonstrated ability in compensation administration
• Familiarity with compliance regulations and guidelines within the HR field
• Strong skills in managing employee relations and resolving conflicts
• Experience in labor employee relations within the non-profit sector
• Proven track record in recruiting and onboarding new employees
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field is preferred
