Position Summary:
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Application Support Analyst to join our IT team. This role is responsible for providing technical and functional support for business-critical applications. The ideal candidate will serve as a key point of contact for users, troubleshoot application issues, coordinate with vendors or internal development teams, and ensure smooth day-to-day operations of software platforms.
Responsibilities:
- Provide first and second-level support for enterprise applications and resolve end-user issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Monitor application performance and health, identifying and escalating issues when needed.
- Log, track, and manage support tickets using a service management platform (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira, Zendesk).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, QA, developers, and vendors, to troubleshoot and resolve system bugs or outages.
- Assist in application testing, updates, upgrades, and patching.
- Document system configurations, known issues, and solutions to create a knowledge base for internal teams.
- Support data analysis, reporting, and extraction tasks related to supported applications.
- Participate in UAT (User Acceptance Testing) and support post-deployment activities.
- Provide training and guidance to users on system features and best practices.
- Ensure compliance with security protocols, data integrity standards, and IT policies.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2+ years of experience in an application support, technical support, or IT analyst role.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with knowledge of application lifecycles and support methodologies.
- Familiarity with SQL for data querying and analysis.
- Experience supporting enterprise-level systems (e.g., ERP, CRM, HRIS, or custom applications).
- Knowledge of ITSM tools like ServiceNow, Jira, or Zendesk.
- Basic understanding of networking, operating systems (Windows/Linux), and databases.
- Excellent communication, customer service, and documentation skills.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple support tasks in a fast-paced environment.
