We are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity for an Entry Level Inventory Analyst in the steel manufacturing industry, based in Youngstown, Ohio. If you're skilled in managing inventory and reporting, this role might be a great fit for you.
Responsibilities:
• Handling the accurate reporting of all inventories in support of the Senior Inventory Analyst
• Collaborating with operations to address issues related to inventory and ensuring the integrity of data within various reporting systems
• Regularly reviewing inventory balances and resolving arising issues in coordination with operations and IT
• Maintaining a record of storeroom inventory cycle counts and providing documentation for prior business day shipments
• Working with the team to identify and resolve duplication in the creation of freight payables Purchase Orders (PO)
• Assisting with invoices related to UNIT Trains and Non-PO freight queries
• Ensuring the accuracy of inventory quantities and values in compliance with Group policies
• Coordinating month-end activities to ensure all shipments are invoiced and production is balanced
• Preparing journal entries for month-end review by the Senior Analyst, including areas such as Inventory, freight expense, customer claim accruals, etc.
• Assisting in the design, implementation, and improvement of reporting tools for inventory data users
• Supporting the Senior Inventory Analyst with Audit requests related to inventory
• Improving operational efficiency by evaluating and refining processes
• Performing ad-hoc duties as assigned.
• Proficiency in ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning systems is essential for this role.
• Extensive knowledge and experience with ERP Solutions is required.
• Must be familiar with SAP software to efficiently manage business operations.
• Ability to conduct annual inventory checks to ensure accurate stock levels.
• Experience with processing purchase orders is crucial.
• Knowledge of shipping procedures and protocols is necessary.
• Must be able to handle freight bills effectively and efficiently.
• Experience in creating and managing customer invoices is required.
• Ability to prepare journal entries to ensure accurate financial records.
