They are responsible for database planning, structure, documentation and protection, as well as long-range requirements and operational guidelines and protection. Roles at this level typically require a bachelor’s degree and three or more years of relevant experience. Background in SQL tuning and optimization, UNIX based operating systems, and enterprise-level change management processes and procedures are helpful.

Providing technical database expertise and problem-solving support to resolve system issues, assisting in the monitoring of database performance, and suggesting improvements
